Although it’s not listed as a mental health condition, stress can lead to mental health issues such as anger, depression or anxiety.

Unfortunately, stress is just part of life.

But when it starts to feel like stress is affecting the overall quality of your life then it’s time to get help.

I certainly could have benefitted from some stress management coaching when I was younger.

Stress once played a big part in my life due to financial and relationship issues and it was really hard to deal with.

I went through a period where the thought of getting up for work, sitting in traffic and doing a days work was unbearable.

I constantly felt short of breath, tense and irritable before I even left the house and nothing seemed to help.

Over time, stress had a major impact on my quality of life.

It affected my relationships, my career and ultimately resulted in me losing my job and being declared personally bankrupt.

Stress can often feel overwhelming and can lead to panic attacks or other serious medical conditions including heart or reproduction problems.

But I’d like to help you avoid any of that nasty stuff by giving you access to the support and resources you need.

What is Stress Management Coaching?

Stress management coaching is a confidential one-to-one meeting, between an individual (you) and a professional coach (me).

In this meeting, we’ll discuss your stress issues and work together on raising your awareness of where they come from and how you can control them.

In each session, we’ll aim to review, identify and prioritise a list of areas you can work on in order to help you manage stress more effectively.

We’ll talk about your past, discuss the present and plan for the future in your coaching sessions so you should be prepared for a challenging and emotional experience.

Coaching is all about me asking you lots of questions that will lead to you self-discovering the solutions of how to control your stress levels.

I’ll help you access the various tools, resources and ongoing support you need to manage stress but it’s down to you to do the homework and make the change.

What you can expect from me as your stress management coach

I am a qualified professional coach with various diplomas and certifications in areas such as; CBT, NLP and various mental health areas.

I should point out, however, that I am not a qualified medical professional, psychologist or therapist. I am a professionally trained coach.

Coaching and helping people is my passion.

I’ve delivered over 1,000 hours of one-to-one coaching to people around the world with a variety of challenges and goals over the past 10 years.

I work with a diverse range of corporate and private clients, so my day can go from coaching the CEO of a large organisation in the morning to coaching an unemployed teenager in the afternoon.

David has always been a huge inspiration to me as a coach and as a friend. He is a no-nonsense professional who understands what it takes to succeed, having grafted himself, and is extremely good at passing this on to others. My Coaching Process

Before taking you on as a client I always recommend you book a free 30-minute consultation call.

In this call, we can get to know each other a little better, you can decide if you like me and I can decide if I can help you.

Once we’ve agreed on which of my coaching plans works best, you’ll get access to my private client calendar where you can book your first coaching session.

Where are the coaching sessions held?

Most of my coaching is done over the telephone as my clients are spread across the UK and Europe.

Telephone coaching allows me to keep my coaching fees low and also gives my clients much more flexibility to book and re-schedule sessions without me having to charge any cancellation fees.

How long do the sessions last?

Your first coaching session may last longer, but ongoing sessions will normally last for about 60 minutes.

Some of my clients prefer to have a set time and date every month, whereas others prefer to schedule their coaching sessions on an ad-hoc basis.

I’m flexible either way, however, consistency in your sessions will always deliver the best results.

How many sessions will you need?

I don’t know enough about you or your situation yet to be able to estimate how many sessions you’ll need.

We’ll both have a better idea of how many sessions and what frequency works for you after your first couple of sessions.

I do always recommend new clients to start with at least 2 sessions in the first month because the initial sessions can go quite fast.

How much does stress management coaching cost?

My rates for stress management coaching range from £40 to £65 per session depending on how many sessions are booked in advance.
